Introduction to class.  Syllabus, policies, fees, etc. Students will receive sketchbook, and write their name and the rules in it.
Students will personalize their sketchbooks with at least three pages devoted to themselves: their style, what is important to them, etc

 

Elements of Design. Lecture on Line.
Students will devote 5 pages to sketchbook. 3 to lines: horizontal, vertical and diagonal. List definition and draw examples of each, with varying widths and using one texture per page. Draw a form from nature on one page. Draw a form with contour lines on one page. 3.4 Students will utilize the elements and principles of design. Students will brainstorm for nonprofit assignment.
