Welcome to Mr. Rizzo's Web Portal

I teach Film Studies and Broadcast Journalism I and II at The Southwest Career and Technical Academy in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is my thirteenth year of teaching in the Clark County School District, and my twentieth year in public education. In addition to teaching in Las Vegas, I have also taught in Japan, Texas, and Minnesota.

On this page you'll find our daily news show, Route 131, as well as videos produced by students in my broadcast Journalism classes.

This is the newest show in our line up. The pilot episode was created at the end of the 2009-2010 School year, and we're looking forward to your suggestions for this show.

2010 Film Festival
Each year our students compete in a school-based film festival. The winner from last year's festival is posted on this page. The competition for this year will be held in May of 2011.
