Broadcast
Journalism I, II, and III
Students in my Broadcast Journalism I class learn the the basic
fundamentals of news reporting, video photography, and video
editing with Final Cut Pro. They produce news stories, feature
stories, commercials, show opens, and PSA's. During the second
semester they become reporters, creating news and features for
our daily and monthly news shows.
In Broadcast II, students are responsible for creating Rout(e)
131, our daily news show. They are also responsible for creating
news stories, commercials, PSA's, and show opens for the show.
Students in Broadcast III serve as mentors and producers for the students in Broadcast II, and are responsible for overseeing our monthly news show,
The Outlook. They are also the producers, writers, and talent for jumpCut, our web-inspired entertainment show.
